Group Authorization not Working

Greetings:

I am having a problem with group authentication with groups contained in a secondary address book. Here are the facts:

This is an additional server set up in the domain.

We use directory assistance and all names and most groups are in a secondary address book.

Group Authorization is set to yes.

The directories are replicas from the other servers in the domain.

The Directory Assistance database is a replica from the other servers.

The Directory Assistance database is specified in the server document.

When using the server as a directory server and composing a memo, the address dialog DOES list the secondary address book (as it should).

When users are in the ACL via a group that is contained in the secondary address book, they can not access the database.

When I look at Effective Access (in the ACL) of these users, the Groups section on the right contains only groups from the primary address book, not the secondary address book.

I think this has something to do with the Directory Assistance db.

One thing that has happened in the past is that the db contained duplicate forms of different versions. This was the case with this server. The older version did not contain the field Group Authorization, and this form was the default. I deleted that form and made the correct one the default. It is now using the correct form. I’ve restarted the server several times, and doing show x shows the correct directories.

I’m sure there is something minor that is not set properly, but I’ve been over everything several times. Help!

Thank you,

Robert
