One of the things I don’t like about Notes applications is that they are ugly to look at. I sometimes experient with font colours and font sizes, etc, but I’m never any good at it.
Are there any templates out there that showcase how pretty or cool a Notes application can be? I’m hoping to copy some colour and font schemes from it.

I think that there are plans to refresh all of the out-of-box templates with the forthcoming R8.5 release. In addition to Nathan’s recommendation, you might also find some new database designs at http://codestore.net , too.
