Hi,Does any one know whether grapichs can be used in Lotus Notes or not? I mean that whether pie charts & graphs (as in Excel) can be done in Lotus Notes, directly or by using any 3rd party tool?

The only graphic types supported in Lotus Notes are GIF, JPEG and a proprietary bitmap format. Any package which can create one of those can be displayed, or you can use OLE objects, which will display an image using the bitmap format. Unfortunately, there is no easy way to generate the images except to use Java or ActiveX or another such applet to display the graphic. With those, you can do all sorts of things, but without them it is difficult.

Hi
There isn’t much “graphic” in Notes,… but you can use , ActiveX, COM and Java so there is really endless possibilities.

Hi
Yes
You can use Excel graphs.
From menu select:
Create/Object and from the list og Object types select Microsoft Excel.
You then have en embedded Excel Graph! ![]()

Hi,
I know I can embed Excel Graph, but we create graphs seperately so that data can be displayed dynamically as in Excel?

Hi
Search this forum.
There are lots of stuff about using MS Excel Charts as an ActiveX component, creating the data dynamically in LotusScript etc.-
