Going from the Basic client to the standard client

I have a new challenge,

I need to switch from the basic client to the standard client for a group of users at a time

Key informations:

  • no installation is required since everybody as the standard client install

  • the notes icon has the “-sa” in the properties

  • the desktop policie has been configure to change the value UseBasicNotes to 1

  • cannot change all client at the same time

I have no problem changing the properties of the Notes icon for a group of users, but for the UseBasicNotes value, this is a different problem.

The only things I can think of is to blanked the value of UseBasicNotes (no 0 or 1) so I will only need to change the icon properties. I’m not sure if I can do that

Subject: going from the Basic client to the standard client - UPDATE

putting " " to UsebasicNotes value seems to give me result. After a couple of test, It gave me what I want, being able to control with the Lotus Notes shortcut
