I am trying to set up global email signatures on our Domino server so that all mail sent has the same corporate look. Unfortunately i have no funds to spare for 3rd party software and I don’t admnister the Domino server, I just manage the client installs and general configuration. Is this possible or will it need to be configured individually?
Subject: Global email signatures
Do you mean signatures or disclaimers? The difference being that signatures will vary depending on who sends the mail.
If you mean disclaimers then you can configure this in R7 out-of-the-box (not helpful as you are on 6).
However, if you mean signatures then one way to do this (if all are using Notes clients) might be to have a central HTMl file that contains the ‘global’ stuff that everyone’s mail preferences point to. You can customise the mail file code so that when it inserts the signature from the file it inserts the user’s name first for example. The code for handling signature is exposed in the CoreEmailClases script library.
Make sure you customise a COPY of the mail template and be aware that if you are using the iNotes template, this inherits from the mail template, so change the iNotes template to inherit from your custom mail template.

Thank you for your response.Presumably the HTML file would need to reside on a network share on the Domino server? If this is the case then i truly am out of luck as i have no access to manage the domino server itself, although i may be able to request a folder be created.
