I recently modified a working organization policy in the Domino 7.03 server. The desktop policy modified the sametime server field in the location document. After recent changes to the DNS I modified the desktop policy to reflect the correct and DNS name of the sametime server.it seems that no matter what I do the old desktop policy is still being pushed down to the desktop clients .
Let me also list all the things I tried before this post
edited the organizational and or master policy
deleting the desktop policy and re-creating it
switching the Org policy from organizational to explicit
all were unsuccessful.
My readings of how the desktop policies work led me to the DCC and how that runs on PC. a review of the Logs on the client show that it is running, the server is not giving the updated info.
In addition I also ran fixup compact and updall on the server names.nsf
any suggestions would be a big help
