I’m getting started with DECS and a few questions I have:(I have a Domino Server trying to connect to an iSeries)
On the client I created a SERVER CONNECTION, then I open the DECS Admin and try to create a connection. For the “database” I indicate our iSeries name that is found from using the command WRKRDBDIRE–which is the same name I used when defining my server connection. I enter user name, password, Data Journaling is off, selection type is table. When I select the drop down arrow for the table selection, I receive this: ERROR: Relational database XXXXXX not in relational database directory, etc…
Do I need both the server connection and the entry in the relational database directory. It seems that I have both, but continue to receive this error. AND by defining a server connection I do not need any type of ODBC connection created - right??
Help would be greatly appreciated!
