Getting multiple entries Migrating Outlook contacts -

When importing the Exchange (Outlook) contacts into my local address book via the button sent from the Domino administrator, I receive multiple entries for some of my contacts. It seems to be keying off of the email address and Business Fax field. I get an separate document for each email address and it appears in some instances I get an additional entry for business fax entries as well.

Any idea what Notes is using to key off of in Outlook to determine how many Notes documents to create in the users local nab?

We would prefer not to have multiple entries for a single users. Is there a way around this?

In converting Outlook or Exchange to Notes NAB, our experience was duplicate entries were created only when the process bombed out and the conversion or importing was started again. The process worked best when we converted the Outlook/Exhange entries to an Excel spreadsheet first (with appropriate column headings) and then imported the spreadsheet into Notes NAB.

Right now, running 6.0.1 Notes client, each time I import my Outlook contacts, it completes, but bombs out and dumps content to the IBM_Technical directory under Notes.

It appears that for each different email address and fax number I have for a individual user in Outlook, it is going to create a separate person document for me in my local nab.

I tried import from Excel and all I got was a single empty document. I’ll have to do some more research on this, but it would be nice if the Notes Upgrade Service worked without bombing.

Thanks for the suggestion.
