I have a notes application, at the moment the user can complete a form where a keyword field shows a list of documents from an internal view. Things are going to change, in fact the data for the keyword field would not be internal any more: the data will be available thru a web intranet page produced by a third party software. There’s no chance to reach the third party database that feeds the web page, so I have to capture the contents from that web page. I’m considering to use XML. I could get an XML file of that page and build an internal view so that the data can be still available to the keyword field. The question is: in case the third party software doesn’t provide the XML file I need (daily updates), can I produce it in any way from the intranet web page ? Any other solution to the problem can be very interesting as well.
