Beginning the rollout of 8.5.1 to pilot group of users. I have two users that are reporting the same issue. One user is an upgrade from 8.5, the other is from 6.54. Both on XP. After installation and on start up of client, both users are presented a ‘Problem Occurred’ dialog box with the following text:
'Getting All Lcoations has encountered a problem.
An internal error occurred during: “Getting All Locations”.
OK and Details buttons
Details reveals: An internal error occurred during “Getting All Locations”.
For input string: “Local A”.
reinstall does nothing to resolve issue. Locations are present and clicking OK allows users to continue using Notes normally. This occurs with each and every startup of Notes.
I have plenty of other users that do not receive this error but I’m hesitant to continue rollout now that I have a second instance of the issue.
Any thoughts or feedback would be greatly appreicated as we are dealing with a potential MS switchover and any hiccup could be perceived as a reason to switch.
Subject: I get that & “An internal error occurred during: “Updating location information”. For input string: “Local A”” on logging out
When logging into R8.5.1 on XP (laptop) I get the error you have encountered:
"An internal error occurred during: “Getting All Locations”. For input string: “Local A”
Then following an “edit current location” and logging out of notes, I get the leaving error:
An internal error occurred during: “Updating location information”. For input string: “Local A”
A symptom I have is that the location selection list (bottom right of screen) only has the current location in it, yet when I “edit current”, my NAB (Contacts Db) opens with the entire list of locations available.
My desktop PC on XP works fine on R8.5.1.
I first had this error on R8.5.0, but still got it when I reverted to R8.0.2. Now its still there in R8.5.1, (which by the way I could only install on both PCs after manually gutting the registry of about 200 legacy Lotus Notes entries).
