GetFirstItem("Body") returns nothing

Why does itemBody returns nothing if it a failure delivery notification? All emails should have a “body” item? Thanks

session.convertmime = true

Dim itemBody As Variant

doc.GetItemValue (“Body”)

If doc.HasItem(“Body”) Then

 Set itemBody = doc.GetFirstItem("Body")

Subject: GetFirstItem(“Body”) returns nothing

You say it, a body item, you have declared a variant.

try dim itemBody as NotesRichtextitem

I try settting to type NotesRichtextitem.

However it gives 'Object variable or With block variable not set ’ when encountered email with embedded pictures , ok with attachment

That why it was declare as variant.
