Hello. I recently upgraded my Notes client from 8.0.x to 8.5.1. I am getting the following error everytime I hover over a sametime contact, receive a sametime message or enter an address in the ‘To:’ field when I compose an email:
‘getContent’ has encountered a problem. An internal error occurred during: “getContent”
When I click on the ‘Details’ button, it displays:
nlsxbe (JVMPORT015E Unable to resolve shared library reference - a prerequisite shared library may be missing)
I have re-installed the 8.5.1 client and Sametime 8.0.2. I have also opened 3-4 tickets into the IBM helpdesk but no ones seems to be able to resolve this. Clearing the cache and renaming some files seems to make it go away briefly, but this error message always returns. Does anyone have any suggestions?
What files do you delete/rename to get this to go away? I have one user complaining about this now and I would like to try your solution and see if she get long term resolution.
I was experiencing this very same problem after my upgrade.
As suggested by Donald, the renaming of C:\WINDOWS\system32\nlsxbe.dll to nlsxbeold.dll has fixed it.
An additional symptom I was experiencing was that my Side Panel “day-at-a-glance” view of my calendar was never populated with my calendar entries. The above fix also resolved this issue.
