German MSI-file changes language if using a transform file build with installshield tuner

Hi everybody,

a very nice phenomenon: When i install the 6.5.3 msi package manual - everything is fine (means: my client is in german). When i distribute that msi package with ZenWorks 6.5 without a transform file - everything is nice too. And here is the exception: If i create a mst file with installshield tuner, every option i changed within is executed normaly. Except one thing: The language of my distributed client is now english!

Anyone ideas about that funny thing?

Hi Stefan,

I found a solution.

I created a “response file” with ITW and not a “Transform file”.

I tested it for the first installation on a new computer and for an upgrade for V5 and it’s working.

I deployed this solution with Active Directory.

You need to do a lot of correction in the mst file.

I have the same problem in French!!

I had change all language code in the mst file (1033 by 1036)and it’s not working.
