FYI:We installed the Microsoft patches that were released yesterday on our Domino server and Windows workstations. Since then, users with XP workstations that were patched get the following message when logging into Domino Web Access:“Your timezone setting is different from your operating systems’s current one. You can change your timezone by going to the Calendar section in the Preferences dialogue.”
When we check the timezone, it matches the OS timezone. Also checked is “automatically adjust clock for daylight savings…” which is correct.
The message appears for both Internet Explorer and Firefox.
I found a two PCs (XP and 2000) that were not patched yet and logged into web access. I did not get the message on the unpatched PCs. I then installed the windows patches on both PCs. The same message began to appear on the Windows XP workstation but not the 2000 workstation.
We are using the tempalte: Domino Web Access (6), inotes6.ntf
Subject: FYI: Latest Windows Patches cause Timezone Popup message in DWA 6
Its the DST patch from MS that does it - experiencing the same problem on a 7.01 FP1 server with XP clients. The reason the 2000 machines are not problematic is the patch is not released on 2000 (at least not yet). The template is the dwa7 template.
