I am in the Full Administrators group which is in the Full Access Admin field in the server document, I go to the admin client and select Full Admin etc but get a message “You are not authorized to perform that operation”. I am trying to manage the ACL of the database. From the log file:
11/28/2006 03:35:32 PM Patrick McAllister/TEST/ABC was granted full administrator access.

Why not use the dirtiest trick in the book? Switch to the server.id in your notesclient and edit the ACL… Then take away the user’s manager rights and apply some force on his forehead with a large hammer

Well, I could just go to the server too and run the admin or notes client and do it from there (assuming LocalDomainServers is in the ACL, who knows?) but that still doesn’t address why FAA doesn’t work…
By the way, I thought that trick didn’t work anymore, or if you had the server name in the LDS group categorized as a server group, am I wrong about this?

"Are you listed in the ACL with ‘No Access’ (or limited access) ? "
Well, I don’t know. I can’t access the ACL to manage (or view) it
Didn’t have the database open - couldn’t open it. Closed and reopened Notes client, but that didn’t do it either. Actually I was trying to manage the ACL from the Admin client…

You mean at the server? Yeah, that’s one option, but what happens when my servers are 3K miles away? I’m curious why this is not working as advertised, or at least the way I thought it was supposed to work…
