ftSearch finds no "+"

Hello Forum,

i have a problem with the database-method “ftSearch”. For Example: When i search in my database for “3500” it works correctly. But when i search for “3500+”, no results are displayed. But there are some documents in my database, which have this value in one Field.

correctly i must say “3500+” finds no documents but “3500” works!??!

Bernd,

I have had some similar issues with the underscore (_) character and never got a really confident answer. I suspect that these special characters are simply hard for the ftengine to handle.

Odd - I can find such a string when using quotes around the 3500+, i.e. in script use ““3500+””, or when searching by field, i.e. [Categories] contains “3500+”

Can you try that?
