Hello,
I really need your help on this one.
On a web application, i build a search agent which return documents coresponding on user query.
This agent use db.FTSearch method to get the documents collection. This agent run as web user.
As you might know, the db.FTSearch return a maximum of 5000 (My database are quit big (>50 000 docs))
My problem is that the db.FTSearch method return the first 5000 documents even if the user don’t have any access to them. The agent can’t read the docs field but these documents are include in the 5000 limitation.
The result is that my agent never return 5000 docs (always less) and sometimes no document when the query is too large.
I hope you understand my problem and i also hope you have some good idea for me
Thanks in advance.

Subject: FTSearch Access issue
I solve my problem by using notesview.ftSearch. It’s as fast and there is no access issue. I only need to add an “all” view.
Subject: RE: FTSearch Access issue
This method returns a maximum of 5,000 documents by default. The Notes.ini variable FT_MAX_SEARCH_RESULTS overrides this limit for indexed databases or databases that are not indexed but that are running in an agent on the client. For a database that is not indexed and is running in an agent on the server, you must set the TEMP_INDEX_MAX_DOC Notes.ini variable as well. The absolute maximum is 2,147,483,647.
use notesdatabase.Search it works quicker

I didn’t know this notes.ini parameters. Thanks for this tip !
My problem wasn’t really the limitation but the db.FTSearch bug retruning empty documents…
