Is there already a solution for the FTI when burn on a CD or DVD? It worked flawlesly until version 5.x in LN. Since then, if I burn the *.nsf file with the index of this database (a fresh index, made just before the burning), I’ve had always a “not enough memory for Full Text Indexing or Search” error if I try to search such files from CD / DVD. I’ve tried the solutions given in previous threads, buth nothing helps! Someone other toughts?And indeed if you place the whole stuff again on a HD (with removing the read only attributes) it works perfect. Issue is that a whole lot of people would their archives on CD / DVD with indexes and it doesn’t work anymore. :-((

Thanks for the fast response. Refering to the mentioned article, this is what I did (and still do) always before I burn the *.nsf with corresponding FT directory on CD or DVD. The error that is given with my problem isn’t “Cannot Write or Create File (file or disk is read only)” but “not enough memory for Full Text Indexing or Search”
