One of the users have complained that the principal field in some mails have been reset to blank.
Two things I have found common in all these mails are that all these mails have been sent from people who have left the organization and the from field is flagged for sign. However, there are other mails which satisfy these conditions and hence cannot say that these are the reasons for the blank out.
I have checked the acl , in advanced tab, we have the settings, Do not modify names fields.
The only field from where we can get the information on who sent the mail is from “INETFrom” which has the person’s name in internet address format.
We can do a data fix on these documents but want to know why this is happening so that it doesnt happen again.
Please let me know if any one faced this issue and how it can be fixed.
