Hello all,
I know in the past when internet mail was sent out it used to have a friendly name. By this I mean
“Stuart Morgan” stuart@domain.com
But with recent version of R5 and in R6 it seems to only send out with the internet address.
stuart@domain.com
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get a friendly name included.

Check your Global Domain Document - Conversions. Under Address Format ensure it is set to Name & Address (and not just Address).

Yeah I do have that set but I did not think that was used in R5 anyway.

Answered my own question. In the congifuration document I had to specify add prase in the advanced outbound convertion section.

Hello Stuart
I would look under the following tab in the servers configuration document.
MIME → Advanced ->Advanced Outbound Message Options.
There is a field labeled: RFC822 Phrase handling
“Use CN as phrase” would suit you I think.
I think this is what you are looking for
Good luck
Hans

Thank you for that. I spotted that just after I posted the question.

Sorry afterwards I too remembered that field. Must be old age setting in, my memory is going.
