Free ads for Lotus in our website´s address field ? >:(

Hi Everybody

I have built a large website in Notes/Domino.

The website is launched by a page containing a HTML frameset.

When I bookmark the website I get a Lotus R6 favourite icon instead of the default Internet Explorer E like on almost all other bookmarks.

I have been designing a icon for our website, but after various tests we have decided not to have a favourite icon because we think it attracts to much attention and the address field looks cleaner without a special favourite icon.

But then there is a problem. We do absolutely not want to have a Lotus Notes favourite icon on our website. Where does this icon come from? We do dot want to promote a Lotus logo in our address field !

What shall we do, force an explorer icon as our bookmark icon now when we have decided not to use a special favicon. Imagine how that looks when a user opens the site in Netscape, Opera etc.

Is this some kind of a new feature that has to be turned off?

Please could anyone answer this quickly.

Regards

F.F.

favico.ico or something in the html directory under data/domino/html

on the server I presume ?

Should we replace that favicon with a new one or delete it?

If we delete that favicon, will the different browsers show their default icon ?

Subject: just delete the favicon.ico (keep a backup copy)
