Frameset Events

My web page has to expire after ten minutes of inactivity. I have written a javascript to reduce the counter for each second and that counter would reset for every event such mouse move, mouse click, onfocus and key press. I cannot fire these events for each form. Can I fire these events from frameset and can I call the javascript function from framset? I could not find any mouse events in frameset. I would be very thankful if anyone can solve my problem.

Hmm, as far as I know the frameset can not detect mouse movements or other activity, as it isn’t a ‘document’.

You could have a ‘controller’ frame in your frameset (always a good thing to have anyway) and then have the ‘firing’ code in each document in the other frames update the timer in the control frame.

That way you’d get one timer for the all the pages in the frameset.
