Frameset and Launch Pad problem

We have a database that uses a frameset with 2 frames. When launched from the workspace, it works fine. When launched from the Launch Pad, the right frame is fine(The one with the view) but the other one(the one with a navagation layout) is coming up in a listing of all of the views in the db. The outline is gone.

Any ideas?

Subject: Frameset and Launch Pad problem → Work around

I noticed the same problem. I did find a work around that may help.

  1. Bookmark the database from the Open Database dialog box. I bookmarked it directly on the bookmark bar. This will bookmark the database (not a specific view, frameset, page, etc) and preserve the database launch options.

  2. Open/expand the Launch Pad.

  3. Drag and drop the bookmark from the bookmark bar to the Launch Pad. This will move the bookmark from the bookmark bar to the Launch Pad. If you want to keep it on the bookmark bar and copy it to the Launch Pad, hold down the key while dragging and dropping.

Hope this helps.

When the users add it to the LaunchPad by dragging an open view, it creates a view link. Not really bug, but definitely not a feature.

This is a bit of a pain, but it works. Find the database icon on the user’s workspace and drag it from the Workspace tab to the Welcome tab, then down to the LaunchPad. This creates a database link.

We also have the same problem. Most of our databases have navigators, and these seem to be completely ignored. Is anyone at Lotus working on this? Can we expect a fix?
