Forwarding address setting affects after new mail has arrived agent trigger

Dear All,

I have an agent in user’s mail database to auto reply the sender reminding that the recipient’s email address has been changed. Since the recipient’s email address changed, So I set the forwarding address with new email address in recipient’s Person document of PAB. but when the forwarding address entered, The agent was fail to trigger. And If i delete the forwarding address, the agent was being working properly. Did anyone ever face this sort of problem? It seems the forwarding address affect the agent running. Any points should be appreciated.

Best Regards

If you have a forwarding address in the Person Document then the mail is forwarded to that address without ever reaching the Notes mail file - a copy is not kept in Notes. As the mail never gets to the mail file, I don’t think there is any way that the event would be triggered.

If you use a rule in the recipient’s mail file to send a copy of the message instead of the forwarding address field in the person document the message will be received in the mail file and the agent can process while still allowing for the copy being sent on.

Hi Nathan,

Thank you for your kindly reply. I’d like to send a copy of each email to a defined person. Then I set the condition as All document, and the action was set to send a copy to a specified address. but it doesn’t make affect, I cannot find any new message in the specified person’s mail box. Did I make any mistakes? How to set the mail rules for working properly?

Thanks & Regards

Edwin
