Forwarding Address needs recipients Domino Domain Name

If your Forward Address is to a recipient in another Domino Domain, you SHOULD INCLUDE that domain at the end of the Forwarding Address.

If you don’t, messages sent by agents that run on the server will not have the correct forwarding address.

The recipient’s address will be constructed by taking the Forwarding Address and appending “@” and the Domain Name from the Person Doc.

Usually, the Person Doc will have your Domain listed.

You might not notice the problem, because messages sent by Users, and by agents that are called interactively by Users, will generate correct forwarding addresses (assuming you have the OtherDomain’s NAB in Directory Assistance or cascaded).

Forwarding Address ends with => @OTHERDOMAIN {no Domain}

From my mailbox Passed Passed

Agent, called interactively Passed Passed

Agent, scheduled on server Passed FAILED

Examples:

Say your Domain is “MYDOMAIN” and the recipient is in “OTHERDOMAIN”.

Person doc lists the Domain as “MYDOMAIN” and a Forwarding Address of “John Doe/OtherOU/MyOrg”.

Messages sent by server-based agents will be addressed to “John Doe/OtherOU/MyOrg@MYDOMAIN”.

The correct person doc should list the Forwarding Address as “John Doe/OtherOU/MyOrg@OTHERDOMAIN”.

Then, messages sent by your agent will be addressed correctly.

Hope that Helps.
