Me and other co-workers use two mailboxes: our own and a shared one named ‘Helpdesk/org…’ that has been created as a mail-in db.When we forward a message from the mail-in db it then appears in the ‘Sent’ folder of our own mailbox.
Feature or bug?

Subject: ‘Forward’ stores sent message in wrong mailbox
Feature or bug depends on your view of how it should work.
The Notes View:
You are forwarding a message, so it comes in your mailfile.
Its normal for Notes, although it isn’t the user expects it.

Call it a “feature” because it’s working as designed. If I recall correctly the issue is that when you forward a message it creates a new memo in the mail specified in the current location document. So you could work around this by creating a new location called “Helpdesk” that has the mailbox you want specified and switching to it before forwarding messages.

Working as designed. Forward is a built in action that can be used in any database, and it’s the logged on user that’s doing the sending, so it’s stored in their mail database.
Reply is not a built in action - it’s been coded by the Mail Database designers (or Femail designers
and stored the reply in the same database that’s it’s triggered from.
