Forward & Print not working

I just found out that after a recent design update to my database, I could not forward or print documents newly created by other persons. I can forward and print documents created by myself fine. I searched through the form properties but could not find the option related to forward/print prohibition.

What should I do to fix the problem?

Hi,

take a look a the ACL and be sure that the option “Replicate or copy documents” is enabled.

After I set the option your mentioned for everybody, newly created doc can be printed and forwarded freely.

The next question is, can I patch the old doc so that they allow printing/forwarding?

You have to remove the item $KeepPrivate from all existing documents. A small update agent can do that.

The big annoyance here is, that every time a user, who does not have the right to replicate or copy documents creates a new document, this item is set. Lotus calls it “works as intended”, everybody else calls it a bug.

Thanks for your response and sorry that I did not describe the problem well enough.

I believe the problem is document specific because the problem only occurs on documents created after the database update. I can still forward/print old documents that are created before the update. Maybe this are some flags attached to the documents that governs this option?
