Hei
Small problem here:
We have a mailindatabase available for some users. ACL is properly set ut. They can use the mailfile (new memo, reply etc.) but they all have a problem with forwarding mail from this mailindb.
What happens is, any forward is sent from their personal mailboxes, not the mailin db. Note that it doesnt try to forward using the current mail specified in the notesid, but the mailfile in the locationdocument.
Obviously, we want all forwards to be sent from the mailindb:
Like this:
From: name_of_mailindb
Sent by: the user
Not like this:
From: The mailfile specified in the location doc of the current user
Eh, did anyone understand what I mean?
Thanks
Ola
Subject: Forward from mailindatabase
You need to create, what I call, a pseudo-user.
Reguister a user for this data-base, set it up like a normal user mail-file.
And, use it as your mail-in database.
A mail-in database is not a user that is able to send e-mail.
There are obvious considerations about having a license for this additional userid that you are creating.
Licensing may be the real issue of not being able to send e-mails from databases without having and ID reguistered.
Reguister a user instead of creating a mail-in database when you need to send from there (also if you don’t really use the ID ).
Use a mail-in database when it only receives e-mail.
Alexandre.
P.S.: The origin of the e-mail is the database owner, set it with the preferences for the mail file.
May be this would be enough if you use the Mail6 template.
