Formula version of isdate in lotusscript

I am trying to receive a date value from the user if the field is empty. I would prefer to do this via formula for various reasons. The problem that I am running into is how to verify that the value input is actually a date. Is there a formula function similar to isdate in lotusscript? I can’t seem to find anything on it.

Thank you for your help,

@IsTime is not the same as IsDate in Lotus script. @IsTime only tells you that the value is a time / date type value not the string as it does in IsDate of Lotus Script.

For example:

@IsTime(“1/1/2006”) returns an error.

but

IsDate(“1/1/2006”) works as expected.

It is probably better to use @TextToTime and check for an error.

Subject: … should have been - @IsTime([01/01/2006])

@If(@IsTime([01/01/2006]);@Prompt([Ok];“”;“YES”);@Prompt([Ok];“”;“NO”))

works…

Use @For and check each number in the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th places fall between 0 & 9.

You can also check the date pattern first by using @Like.

@Like(yourdatefield; “//____”; "")
