Form DPABPerson

Does anyone know the origin / usage for the form DPABPerson in Mail 8.x?

In the 8.x mail databases, documents are created (presumably) for type-ahead addressing using the form “DPABPerson” however this form does not exist in the design of the database.

Subject: DPABPerson is an alias for the Contact form

Subject: it does not

the .ini setting only enables the preference “do not automatically add to the recent contacts” view. It does nothing to prevent existing “ghost” documents from interfering with email sends.

Subject: Upgrade your personal AB

Just make sure you upgrade your personal address book (names.nsf on the client). Sometimes Notes forgets to do that, leaving its design at an older version.

When in doubt:

  • Get pernames.ntf from a clean, working client and replace the one in the data directory by that one.

  • Open names.nsf on the client (not the server) and do a Replace design with ‘Personal address book’ (pernames.ntf).

  • Shut down the client and remove cache.ndk

Subject: Ghost Contact

I am learning more about this form.

Has anyone been successful in preventing the “Multiple Names Found” errors using the ini setting DisableDPABprocessing=1
