Forgot certifier password

I set up a new Domino server about a month ago and then haven’t touched it until this week. However, I apparently didn’t write down the certifier password (I tried all of my usual suspects). I went through all of the Server configuration and was just about to register all new users/IDs (only about 30), but I can’t without the certifier password - I didn’t set up the CA process beforehand either.

Am I just completely out of luck?

Are there any options that I have?

I’m thinking that I might have to just uninstall and go through the install process again (recording the password this time). I’d prefer not to do that.

Any suggestions?

Thank you

Keith

Subject: re: gave up

I downloaded and installed that password recovery app, but gave up on it as I’m sure the password that I created was fairly cryptic. I uninstalled the server and started from scratch. Not a big deal since I hadn’t created any users yet. Just have to go through the config again. blechh

There is an app called Notes Password Recovery which might help. Google for it.

Although if you used a very complex password then you are out of luck and I suggest reinstalling. Unless you have many users right now.

Stupid advice: did you try all the usual password with caps lock? Maybe it was selected when you used it. Happened to me once =)
