Forcing Immediate Admin changes

I’ve noticed that when I make certain Admin changes at the console of our single Domino server that many of these changes can take quite awhile to occur. Anywhere to a few minutes to several hours. For instance, I can update a user’s ID certificate, and have to wait for quite a long time for the change to occur on it’s. It’s as if Domino has some time delay buffer for changes to commit. I can force a ‘server restart’ at the console to commit the change, but this is disruptive to other users and seems rather extreme.

I noticed this same behaviour when we were previously running Version 5x on our AS400, and since we are now running version 6x on Windows, I still see the same annoying issue, so I tend to see the problem as a quirk with Domino and not a platform issue. How can I force a domino server to commit changes made from Domino Admin vs having to ‘kick it in the pants’ by restarting the server at the console???

Did you try;Tell Adminp Process All ?

Processes all new and modified immediate, interval, daily, and delayed requests.

This command doesn’t override timed requests execution time.

No, but it sounds like it will do the trick.

Thanks for the quick response.

You may also want to take a look at the Administration Requests DB (admin4.nsf)which will show you all of the requests that Adminp processes and their status.
