Hello all,
Ours is a large organization with about 3000 users located in different branches across the country. We have 3 different servers, the mail server, Workflow/Application Server and Sametime server, the mail server is the administration server and the last two servers are scheduled to replicate with the mail server at intervals.
During user creation, we provide a default Internet Password for all users. However, we’ve discovered that many users have not changed the default password; hence they still login to each of these servers with the same username and the default password, which is known to many people.
W recently implemented very sensitive applications, which require high level of confidentiality. Management therefore has mandated that users who haven’t changed the default password should not be able to Login to any of the servers to use any application including mail, sametime and other workflow applications
As a result of the above development, we want to force users who haven’t changed the default password to do so when login on to any of the servers and also if possible set up New Users during creation, to change password on First Logon.
The challenge we have is that the Force User to Change Password on Next Login is not working even after checking the option on the person document of users. Again, we want users who are still using the default password to be challenged to change when Login in to any of the server.
We are using iNotes Web Access, so users login through an Internet Browser and we have Web Mail Redirection implemented on the mail server.
Also, is it possible to Set an option during user creation, to Force New Users to change password a First Logon? It doesn’t seem like such an option exists.
Please your assistance on how we can handle this will be highly appreciated.
Thanks,
Austine.
