Font corruption on frameset border caption

I used Arial for captions on a 2 frame frameset. To myself and a few other users the caption looked as expected. Other users saw what they described as ‘symbols’. I had one of those users who had Designer open the frameset in Designer and tell me what he saw. Although when I viewed the frameset properties I saw ‘Arial’ highlighted, he saw ‘Marlett’. I went in and selected Verdana instead and saved it and now the captions appeared correct to him. I had this happen to me once before - also with a frameset. I have used Arial in view columns with no reported issues.

Has anyone experienced anything like this? I’ve searched the forums and the web but have come up blank.

Subject: I’ve had this too

I just looked back through all my posts on the various forums and couldn’t find it quickly. I think I ended up replacing the Arial font file (arial.ttf) or maybe re-registering it. Check the font list in your notes.ini, too. Something may have gotten out of whack.

Thank so much for the suggestions! I’ll try them.

Subject: Font corruption : no luck with suggested fix

I tried both suggestions. The only references to ‘font’ in my Notes.ini are the following:PrintCalendarIconFont=Default Sans Serif

PrintCalendarStartFont=Default Sans Serif

PrintCalendarEndFont=Default Sans Serif

PrintCalendarNoNameFont=Default Sans Serif

PrintCalendarSubLocChairFont=Default Sans Serif

I searched my pc for .ttf files and found only 2. Both were for LucidaSansRegular.ttf and were related to NotesSql.
