Folder has been damaged

Hi,I have a problem with a mailbox, when I login to this account, I am unable to see the Inbox, I can see the folders and the mails but no Inbos nor can I see All Documents from the Views folder. Does any one have any idea what has happened, must pressing, how can I resolve this issue. I have tried various thing, re-apply folder design (Failed). Re-install client (Failed). At one stage I also received the following error,"Folder has been damaged. Please close down and reopen database to have it repaired.@ Needless so say this also failed. Fixup database (Failed).

Try replacing the database design with the Extended Mail R6 design, and then closing and reopening the database.

I encountered this same issue and was able to resolve it by compacting the database and discard built view indexes (compact xxx.nsf -D)
