I’ve a user who collected documents into a folder.
Subsequently, on going into the folder and opening a document, the content displays, etc. However, on closing the document, it is no longer visible in the folder. It can be found under All Documents, but the user cannot move the document back to the folder where the user would like it.
This seems specific to the the local DB, not a copy of or the server version it is replicated from?

Mixed…either unread or read…
I can cut and paste them back into the folder though…but subsequent openings causes them to disappear from the folder and only viewable under “All Documents”…
I’ve not had an opportunity to look at what the identifier gets tweeked to during this process and its not readily available at the moment to look (I believe that’s where the identification of the folder is shown?)

cutting and pasting creates a new copy of the document so that is not a good solution or workaround. I thought maybe you had “Show Only Unread” enabked for that folder but I guess not. The bahavior is very strange to me and I would love to see it happen but that’s not possible. Is it happening just for this 1 folder and only for this 1 user? Try making a new folder? Try making a new replica?

It is not exclusive to just one folder… another oddity is the scroll bar on the views and that you can’t drag it to the top of the scroll bar.
Making the replica is an option (that I’ll take), but I was trying to understand the mechanics of the folder/doc relationship (and I do understand it quite a bit more).
It would be prudent to try and understand how this NSF got to this state (if possible) so as to avoid it in the future, but that may be improbable and a time waster…

Folders contain “pointers” to documents. A document could have a pointer in several folders. If you “delete” a doc from any pf the folders or views it’s in it will be deleted from every folder as well. A document only exists once in a db, regardless of how many folders it’s in. If you copy/paste a doc you are essentially creating a new instance (copy) of the document but it will have a different unique ID.
