Fixing messed up Reader name field

OK, I did something stupid. I created a form with a reader name field that was computed, and made a formula with multiple entries in a list, but forgot to mark the “Allow multiple values” checkmark. The documents were created from the web just fine, but when I would edit one in the Notes client, it would… poof… disappear. It took me a while to realize what was happening. The multiple items were being saved as one big long item which doesn’t match anything. Grr!

Now, I don’t think I’ve lost any documents I really need, although I might have. I just want to get rid of those old documents, but I would like to see if I need any of them.

This is in a local replica on 6.0.2. I think that in R5, I would still have been able to see them, but I am not sure. Should I try to look at the db through an R5 client? Do I need the admin super user setting? What should I do?

However, how could the documents be in a local replica? They would never have replicated there in the first place.

They were modified in the local replica (by me). They have probably never replicated back up.

Subject: Ahhh!, It was the web mention in the post that got me.

Subject: *Sorry, I replicated a doc down from the web server, and THEN I modified it and … poof.
