Fixed decimal place not working

Hi,

I am trying this equations 1/1.28 in lotus notes. I put the result in a number field fixed to 4 decimal place. The result is 0.7812 but the actual calculations that is 0.78125 how come lotus notes do not round off to 0.7813 but it works for other number if fifth decimal place is 6 and above

im not sure why it works for the fifth and up but the display setting of 4 decimal places is meaningless in terms of mathematical round. its just masking the extra decimals places (if any). To get what u want you to perform an @round(1/1.28 ; 0.0001)
