I’m seeing this odd behavior on a server upgraded from 7.0 to 8.5. It’s not the outgoing SMTP server, but it’s in the same Notes domain as the Domino server that is the SMTP server for the Internet domain document.
For some reason, it doesn’t know that all Internet mail should be sent to the other server. It’s just stuck in the mail.box. It can replicate and telling it to “route ” where serversmtp is the other server doesn’t push those mail documents over.
Restarting the server and the router task also doesn’t help.
Never mind…turned out to be a DNS issue
