Is anyone using a fingerprint scanner to authenticate with Notes? Or even a fingerprint scanner that holds the password to fill in when prompted by Notes or a web browser? I’m starting to look into testing some of these and can’t find detailed compatability on sites such as KeyTronic, Identix, Sony Puppy, bionetrix, etc.

I haven’t tested any fingerprint scanners.
That being said, if the vendor exposed a PKCS#11 interface, provided some form of a cryptographic token in hardware or in software, and used the fingerprint reader as a PKCS#11-style protected authentication path, then Notes could treat the token and fingerprint reader as just another smartcard.

some military has been using it with Notes since the late 90s. I think that it was an adapted version of notes though.
I looked into it for an application at the Department of Justice but we decided that the technology wasn’t quite what we needed along with the first real electronic signature app that we knew of at Justice!
