@FindFreeResource Problem

I have struggled with this problem for the past three days and have exhausted all possibilities. This reservation database was working last week, now it cannot find any of the resources.

Here’s what I have done so far:

  • Deleted and recreated the resources

  • Restored the database back to the day when it was working

  • Recreatd the busytime.nsf database (a couple of times)

  • Placed the button that looks for the resources in another reservation database. The button worked.

Here’s the formula that I am using for @FindFreeResource:

ResNameCheck:=@FindFreeResource(Keyarg;ResourceType;tmpStartDateTime;tmpEndDateTime;“”;99);

Where Keyarg=“CN=*/”+“OU=”+ResourceCategory+“/O=”+Site;

ResourceType=2

tmpStartDateTime:=@TextToTime(@Text(@Date(StartDate))+" "+@Text(@Time(StartTime)));

tmpEndDateTime:=@TextToTime(@Text(@Date(StartDate))+" "+@Text(@Time(EndTime)));

Thanks.

Subject: @FindFreeResource Problem

I had a similar problem, and found out that the 5th argument of this function is sometimes not accepted as the null string in R6. It must be a number, so put 0 instead of “” and it should work OK. Unfortunately, such changes are to be expected with undocumented formulas…

Cheers,
