Filed messages return to inbox

Hello Notes/Domino 8 Forum community. I’m new to this forum and/or posting a question of this type. If I miss any detail please ask; I’ll provide the info if I can.On to my question…

We have a few users with an issue where messages that have been filed to folders from the Inbox view eventually return to the inbox view with out user intervention.

We run:

Lotus Notes 8.0.2.

Domino 8.0.2

Client PC’s are Lenovo T60 and T400’s with Windows XP SP3.

Domino server machine is Windows Server 2003 SP2.

I appreciate any advice given.

Subject: Replica…

Sounds like a replica issue to me. Do they have local replicas? How is the replication done? Cluster?

Thay got the mails twice or they are just “moved” to the inbox?

Could also be a rule in the databases.

Subject: Re: Replica…

The users do have local replicas of their mail files. They are blackberry users. We don’t use clustering that I know of.I’ll try replacing the local replica on 1 users PC as a Test.

I’ve reinstalled Lotus Notes for 1 of these users, but reused the local replica file to save from needing to recreate it.

The messages appear to be moved and not received multiple times.

Subject: Did you find a root cause?

I too am experiencing the same. I am using a local replica. We are using clustering. It seems to happen more often when I process (file, deleted, mark as read, etc.) recently received messages. I highly suspect it to be related to replication. More specifically the replication sessions initiated by the connection documents suggested as a best practice between the clustered servers on which my mail file resides.
