FIle Uploading from Desktop to Notes Db on scheduled basis

Hi Everyone,

 One of our user needs to upload project files and sorce code docs to a central Lotus notes database .The file formats are both .doc, as well as Pl/SQl files  which are normally kept in the user's windows harddrive .However  he has requested to automate the process so that the new docs which he will be saving to the harddrive folder  on his desktop will be automatically transferred at the end of the day to the Central Domino Server Doc library nsf database.

My question is myself being a new to Lotus Dev can I create any out of the box solution for this user or do I need to write an agent for this .

Any suggestion is welcome.

Hi Bob,

It wouldnt be too difficult to write an agent for this. Traverse the the directory where the user saves the files and embed them in a rich text field.

Have a look at the Dir function and the EmbedObject method in designer to help get started.
