File.html and email formatting

First of all I have to admit that I am not very experienced dealing with email routing and converting, so please pardon me if I am not clear with my question.

I am testing HTML email sent by our Domino servers and receieved by an external web-based client. In this case, the test client is yahoo mail. All of the email shows up in the test client with a file.html attachment. Can anyone tell me why this is happening? As far as I can tell, none of my other incoming email (from non-Notes sources) in the test account is showing up like this.

I set the Outbound Conversion Options to “from Notes to Plain Text and HTML”. Ultimately I want to be able to include things like hosted images in our outgoing email. Is there a better way to accomplish this?

Your server configuration to convert from Notes to Plain Text and HTML is fine, but you need to check your client locations settings as well. Under File - Mobile - Edit Current Location, click on the Mail tab, and change the format for messages addressed to internet addresses from Notes Rich Text to MIME.

Note that this can be set by a desktop policy to some or all of your users.

Thanks, but when I do that, the pass-thru html stop working.
