Is there a limit to how many records can be exported? I have a view with 8,405 records. When I select File, Export, Lotus 123, it appears to export successfully
When I open Excel and then open the .wk4 file, it fills in 8,192 records and then starts overwriting rows from the top of the sheet with the remaining records. It’s also renaming the worksheet name to “A”.
I’ve looked at the last record and don’t see anything wierd. Any clues as to what’s happening? Thanks.
Subject: Wk4 limitations
The 1-2-3 WK4 had a limit of 8192 rows per sheet. The sheet name being lost, must be a limitation of the Excel Import. As if I save a WK4 form 1-2-3 and open it in 1-2-3 it still has the worksheet name.
Subject: File Export using 123 Limit?
Recently I was confronted with the fact that MS stopped the support for the WKx formats in the latest excel versions (2007 and 2003 SP1). So I had to search for another way to get my data from Notes to Excel and on the www.openntf.org I found the ASND Export Facility. A bit more setup work but it exports directly into excel. I haven’t tested it on the number or records but given the coming end of the lotus 123 route it is something to have a look at.

Thank you all for your fast replies. I also have a script that exports all the document, but it takes so much longer. I’ll check out the ASND Export Facility mentioned.
Thanks again.

In the client help, type in search “limitations” (no quotes) you should find the answer.
