Hi everyone,
I’m quite new to Domino Designer. How can I force a field to be uppercase?
I found a similar issue in the following thread
http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/nd6forum.nsf/55c38d716d632d9b8525689b005ba1c0/3ccf21f382abe16185256ed200743d40?OpenDocument
I tried adding @UpperCase to input validation without success. To which field property should I add the @UpperCase function?
Thanks a lot

With javascript. In the event onclick/onblur of the field you call the function uppercase():

Hi Spanish Martin
Thanks for the reply. Since the application is going to be in a purely notes-based environment, I’m trying to avoid web based syntax at all costs. Is there any lotus script equivalent?

In the exiting event of the field Dim w As New NotesUIWorkspace
Dim text As String
text = w.CurrentDocument.FieldGetText("fieldName")
Call w.CurrentDocument.FieldSetText("fieldName", Ucase( text ) )
The onchange event should also work if you choose client, Lotus Script as the formula to enter.

Hi Rajam,
Thank you very much. The input is now in uppercase after the form is submitted. But how can I make it uppercase as the user is entering the data?
