I have a multi value field on a Form. This field holds multiple string values. Here is an example…“8”
“20”
“30”
“45”
“65 (8)(20)(30)”
"85 "
"100 "
“105”
I am using the View Search and I have clicked more and clicked on the “Field” button. Here I choose the the field name that holds the multivalues and I type in the following string “20”. Here is the deal… I want the search to return documents that contain an instance of one value equaling “20” exactly and nothing more. What I get are documents that hold the value “65 (8)(20)(30)” because 20 is contained in this string. How can I search on an exact value and ensure that it is not a part of a larger string? All help is appreciated.
You could use @Length(string) to find out how many characters you’ve brought across, and ignore ones that contain don’t match the lenght of the search string.
Sorry - I may have misunderstood you - I assumed you were building your own search program, in which case what I suggested makes sense … however if you’re just trying to search a view for a string using the search button, I’m not too sure you can do it, I think it’ll always return all documents that match the search string.
It’s worth making sure that you have both ‘fuzzy’ and ‘Use varients’ are both un-checked.
