We are currently testing adsync. We discovered that when someone set the field mappings on their Microsoft MMC client, the settings can only be seen by that person. This means that all administrators will have to set their own field mappings for adsync. I’m assuming that these needs to be set one time, and when administrators logon from their own computers, they should see the field mappings already setup and defined. Has anyone seen this or know of a way to set it so everyone can see the field mappings that has already been set.
I will also add that we have Adsync setup and working, except this one glitch.
Subject: Field mapping for ADSYNC / Active Directory
Thansk for the Heads up on this one I will investigaste further. ADSync was remarkably easy to set-up, but I am just wating to spot where the catches are.
I foresee a problem where my administrators do not sit at the same desks all the time. So how will I know when the have the ADsync dll loaded.
They are so dense down in that department it will take then 3 weeks to spot that they registered Users & Groups but didn’t sync them.
I would like to be able to set a scheduled sync, where the Domino server syncs itself with the AD on a nightly / weekly basis.

I was trying to have a mailfile name in Domino to map directly with the logon name in AD, but apparently, it does not work. Domino sticks to the “kpoh.nsf” convention when the first name = “keavey” and lastname = “poh”, but what i wished for is “keaveypoh.nsf”.
