FaultRecovery and replication

Hi,

We had a scenario 2 days ago where our server rebooted by itself precisely at the same time. The faultrecovery option is not set either in the server document or the notes.ini file.but still rebooted by itself. Is there anyway the server reboots by itself without the above parameters being set?

After the 2 days in a row reboot, server did not reboot yesterday.

We also noticed that in our organisation one server is replicating with another server every 15mins, but there is no connection document in either server for this inetrval or for that matter any connection document for these two servers at all. But How is the replication possible?

Any light on this matter is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Padma

domino will not reboot a machine as part of it’s basic fault recovery, it will terminate all domino tasks then restart the domino service. only windows can reboot itself. have you checked the event logs to see if it bluescreened and why it recovered itself. one of the sceduled domino tasks may be causing the bluescreen.

for replication to happen there must be something, a connection document (for replication) or a program document, something must exist to call the rep command. if you don’t have a connection document then it’s probably a program document. you can also initiate replication via an agent so you may need to check the logs to see if the same agent always kicks in before replication happens.
