when I try to enter:
C:\Lotus\Notes\nsd.exe -kill -ini C:\Lotus\Notes\notes.ini
in a dosbox
I got the errormsg from nsd:
FATAL (1): can’t open notes.ini
but the ini file is ok, the client is correctly adjusted.
Can anybody help?

Does nsd -kill work without the -ini parameter? That would be C:\Lotus\Notes\nsd.exe -kill
run from the C:\Lotus\Notes\Data directory.

sorry I can´t run NSD.exe from the Datafolder, because its not in it… I got the message “nsd.exe can´t be found…”
and I can´t run it without the ini parameter, I got the same error…

Yes, you can still run nsd.exe, you just have to type the fully-qualified path, which in your case I believe was C:\Lotus\Notes\NSD.EXEYou can also add the Notes executable directory to the PATH on that system.

hm… I tryed this… but I got the same error… I can´t get this stupid NSD to Kill a hanging Notes Application on some of my systems… Very bad ![]()
